Fire Report: Large Fire at McCormack Building Supply
According to local news reports, the Winslow, Maine headquarters of McCormack Building Supply, Inc., was the site of a large fire on Friday October 11, 2019.
WABI reports that at “least two building burned to the ground.”

McCormack Building Supply, Inc., subsequently released the following statement on October 12, 2019, via their FaceBook page:
“What a day! As many of you know we had a devastating fire yesterday. We are happy to let you know all of our employees got out safely. We are extremely proud of how they reacted, took control and handled themselves throughout a stressful day. This setback will only make us more united. The employees and ownership will work diligently and rebuild our company. We will be back before you know it.
Thank you to all of the emergency personnel who answered the call. The Winslow Fire Department and surrounding towns worked diligently all afternoon and through the night to ensure the safety of our employees and neighbors. The outpour of support from local businesses and individuals was swift and inspiring to say the least. Thank you to all that gave their time and energy to help get us through the day.
