Spenard Builders Supply to Close Stores in Eagle River and Seward
Spenard Builders Supply (“SBS”) is closing two locations. The Eagle River store will close Friday, March 20, 2020 and the Seward store will close Friday, March 27, 2020.
Due to Alaska’s challenging economic climate, SBS has made the difficult decision to close the locations. “This decision was not made lightly nor quickly, but we feel it is the right thing to do for SBS,” said President of Spenard Builders Supply Ed Waite. “We will do our best to service customers affected by this change from our nearest locations and maintain the high level of service they are accustomed to.”
Spenard Builders Supply is committed to retaining as many employees as possible, by transferring them to comparable jobs at other locations. “We are trying to do what is right for our employees by giving them as many options as possible,” said Waite. “We have a good team at both of those locations who did everything in their power to make us successful. I want to thank our great teammates in Seward and Eagle River for their efforts and dedication, and I look forward to having them find other opportunities within SBS.”
For 68 years, SBS has enjoyed success across Alaska and is committed to continuing that success into the future.
