Report: Granville Lumber Company Closes After Nearly 70 Years
According to local news reports, Granville Lumber Co., LLC (HQ: Granville, OH), closed permanently, effective March 31, 2020.
The Newark Advocate reports that General Manager, and former President of Granville Lumber Co., LLC, Dave Rutledge stated, “We got word on Monday the 30th that the owners wanted to close down on the 31st.” It was noted that although the “lumber store is permanently closed to the public, its stock of hardware items and tools sitting on shelves in darkened showrooms, pre-existing orders are being processed for a time longer, Rutledge said.”
