According to international reports, Klausner Trading International GmbH & Klausner North America Beteiligungs GmbH opened bankruptcy proceedings on April 14, 2020.
EN24 reports that on “April 14, bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the LG Innsbruck via two companies of the Klausner Group – Klausner Trading International GmbH (headquarters in Oberndorf) and Klausner North America Beteiligungs GmbH (headquarters in St. Johann).” It was also noted that the Klausner Trading International GmbH “sells the entire timber and sawn timber production of all Klausner companies worldwide. The debtor’s last producing location was sold in 2017. The debtor also provides services for various Klausner companies in the United States and Germany.” According to the “bankruptcy petition, US companies have not paid substantial outstanding amounts of services for months. According to the debtor, there were talks in the USA with investors that the American companies should have taken over. Ultimately, this takeover failed.”
