Report: Hood Industries to Close Metcalfe, Georgia Facility
Hood Industries, Inc. (HQ: Hattiesburg, MS) filed a WARN Notice (GA WARN ID# GA202300013) with Georgia’s Office of Workforce Development.
In the filing, Hood Industries, Inc. stated that there will be a “permanent closure” at its facility located at “1033 South Reynolds Street, Metcalfe, Georgia, 31792.” As a result of the facility closing, “105” employees will be permanently laid off with a “first date of separation” being “November 10, 2023”.
As of January 1, 2023, Rapid Response services provided by the State of Georgia will be administered by the Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Workforce Development.
