Structural Truss Systems Expanding in Fort Macleod

Structural Truss Systems and Forma Steel are excited to announce a significant expansion within their companies. Preparations have begun on a new large-scale truss manufacturing and metal fabrication facility in Fort Macleod, Alberta. This development signifies a historic milestone in the companies’ 40-year history and marks a significant leap forward for this small southern Alberta town and economic region.

The new combined manufacturing and shipping facility, being constructed by Westco Construction, is expected to double production capabilities and office space as well as expand logistics capacity. There will be 90,000 square feet of production space for both operations along with 25,000 square feet of office space. This increased space will help to provide a better working environment for their over 200 team members, with room for future growth.

The Government of Alberta’s support through the Investment Growth Fund (IGF) is a big boost for doing business in a small rural Alberta community. This investment will help create roughly 50% more available jobs within these companies for local Albertans and help to accommodate their ever-increasing market demands.
