Report: Family Files Suit Against Machine Manufacturer After Worker’s Death at American Walnut Company
According to a local news report, the family of Joshua Hill, who was “killed working at an industrial sawmill in St. Joseph is suing the company that made the machine for damages.” Mr. Hill was on his shift at American Walnut Company (HQ: Saint Joseph, MO), when the incident occurred.
KQTV reports that the family claims “Williams Patent Crusher and Pulverizer Company did not design the machine, an industrial wood chipper, with safety features that would keep the operator safe from falling down into the grinder.”
