Roseburg Increases Focus on Real Estate Growth
Phil Adams to lead strategic timberland acquisition efforts
As Roseburg continues to expand its vertically integrated land and manufacturing business model across North America, the company has taken steps to deepen its bench strength in strategic land acquisition and management.
Roseburg has selected Phil Adams to lead this key effort in the newly created role of Director of Real Estate and Strategic Development. Moving forward, Phil will manage a growing team of real estate and land acquisition specialists.
For the past five years, Phil has served as Roseburg’s Director of Timberlands. He was the company’s Timberland Manager for 12 years before that.
“Phil’s knowledge and expertise is ideally suited for this highly focused real estate and strategic development role,” Scott Folk, President of Roseburg Resources Co., said. “This move will allow the company to accelerate the growth and expansion of our integrated business model and leverage our large land base for higher and better use opportunities, including potential development of new solar and carbon value streams.”
About Roseburg
Roseburg currently owns and sustainably manages approximately 400,000 acres of Douglas fir timberland in Oregon and nearly 200,000 acres of Loblolly pine in North Carolina and Virginia. One of the company’s key differentiators is the fact that it owns both timberlands and the facilities to convert logs into high-quality, renewable wood products to support the building industry and provide a stable supply of goods to customers.
